Shelf is a collections management software (CMS) designed specifically for museums with minimal resources. Sprouting from my experience as a Gallery Assistant at the UAFS Gallery of Art and Design, I found that existing CMS had extremely outdated and frustrating UI design; after speaking with local professionals, I began designing Shelf. Shelf is a revolutionary CMS that places a positive user experience at the forefront of its design. A simplified dashboard and navigation bar means every function is only one click away. The provenance, or history of ownership, is tracked through an interactive timeline, quickly displaying the past places of residence. I’ve been working towards developing Shelf into a market-ready software, speaking with software developers, writing a business plan, and pitching to investors. I’m proud to say I placed first at the UAFS Lion’s Lair Business Pitch competition and was a finalist in the 25th Annual ACC Capital Governor's Cup.
